Pricing and access
The pricing page offers a free start followed by usage billing. Recorded Universal-3.5 Pro is listed at $0.21 per hour and Universal-2 at $0.15 per hour. Add-on features and other APIs have separate rates; these are not bundled prices for every analysis task.
Which workflow fits?
Developers can turn calls, interviews and media into application data. The documentation distinguishes asynchronous files, streaming and synchronous requests. Choose the interaction model before comparing rates: a batch job can wait, while live captioning needs timely partial and final results.
What should the evaluation contain?
Use an interview with two speakers, an unfamiliar organization name, a corrected number and an ambiguous sentence. Prepare a timestamped reference sheet. Check words first, then speaker labels, then the summary. Allow “not mentioned” rather than forcing the model to invent an owner or deadline.
Acceptance checklist
Require each extracted action to point back to a source span and preserve uncertainty. Include empty audio and failed downloads in integration checks. A completed API job and a usable transcript are different conditions. Record human correction time so lower usage fees do not conceal greater editing effort.
Permissions and failure handling
The integration sends audio or its location to an external service. Review retention and enabled analysis features before processing customer calls. Evaluate redaction on labeled examples rather than assuming every identifier disappears. Authenticate callback receivers and make completion handling idempotent to prevent duplicate downstream records.
