Cloudflare Platform Skill

Choose Cloudflare services for compute, storage, networking and AI workloads, then inspect the appropriate implementation references.

What task is this skill designed for?

Translate workload constraints into a service choice before generating infrastructure. Compare consistency, latency, persistence and operating cost rather than selecting a database solely because it appears in an example.

What input and output should you expect?

Input: Architecture requirements, data shape, expected traffic, consistency needs, regions and current account resources. A sanitized diagram is enough for an initial recommendation.

Output: A proposed service map, binding plan, current-documentation references and a limited implementation diff. Ask for the rejected options and tradeoffs as well as the recommendation.

What does it need to run?

A compatible coding client with documentation access. Tooling depends on the selected service; account access is unnecessary for a read-only architecture pass.

Published in the OpenAI Codex plugins repository. Compatibility evidence is the plugin package and its source instructions; this is not a claim of identical behavior in other agent clients.

How should you approach installation?

  1. Open the pinned source and review the complete skill folder, including referenced helpers and license, before enabling it.
  2. Use the corresponding plugin in a compatible Codex environment; preserve the skill folder structure rather than copying only SKILL.md. Confirm current plugin availability in your client.
  3. Start with a disposable project and the trial prompt below. Grant only the stated access, inspect the proposed diff, and require separate approval for remote writes or publishing.

What files, accounts or data can it access?

The workflow may inspect local code and retrieve documentation. If cloud tools are enabled it can modify remote configuration, storage or deployments; scope credentials to the chosen environment.

What does the skill cost?

Source guidance is available under its license. Actual Cloudflare services, model usage and the coding client may incur charges; a recommendation does not reserve capacity or cap spend.

What are its limits and alternatives?

This is a broad router to product references, not a performance guarantee. Versioned reference files can lag limits and pricing; check current provider documentation before provisioning.

Choose the Agents SDK skill for a defined stateful-agent implementation; choose Wrangler for commands and bindings after architecture is settled.

What could you ask in a small trial?

Try this with a small sample:

Compare KV, D1 and Durable Objects for a small collaborative checklist. Explain consistency and failure handling, suggest a minimal architecture, and list information still needed. Do not provision anything.

How would you verify the result?

  1. The selected store meets the stated consistency requirement.
  2. Each resource has a specific purpose and owner.
  3. The plan covers failed writes and retry behavior.
  4. The estimate names request, storage and model usage separately.

Use a baseline and record acceptance evidence before treating a successful task as a reliable workflow.
