Krisp: Uses, Pricing and Evaluation Guide
What is Krisp?
Krisp combines noise cancellation with meeting transcription, recordings and AI notes. Evaluate audible speech quality separately from note accuracy and sharing permissions.
Pricing and access
Meeting AI offers a seven-day trial. Core is displayed at $16 per user monthly or $8 per user per month with annual billing. Call Center AI and developer services are separate offers. Check storage and feature limits for the selected plan.
Which problem are you solving?
Consider it when background sound interferes with calls and you also need a record of decisions. Call clarity and accurate notes are separate requirements. Decide whether your priority is speech quality, searchable history or team reporting rather than assuming one feature proves another works well.
Test the audio path first
Use a permitted conversation with keyboard noise, a fan and a distant speaker. Compare original and processed audio at similar volume. Listen for lost syllables and distorted quiet speech. Confirm that the intended microphone and output remain selected after switching meeting applications.
Then inspect the meeting record
Use a mock meeting with a proposal, a rejected suggestion and a changed deadline. Compare notes to a written answer key. Action owners and dates should match final decisions, while unresolved questions should remain unresolved. Measure correction time before sharing, not only time to automatic generation.
Permissions and rollout
Audio processing, recording and transcription may have different data paths and plan conditions. Inspect account settings rather than assuming all features stay on-device. Obtain appropriate participant consent, review default sharing and test access removal and deletion during a team pilot.
Alternatives and selection
Compare Granola for personal note augmentation and Fathom for capture and summaries. Keep a separate audio-quality test if noise cancellation is decisive.
